The DNA Cascais Young Artists competition is an initiative whose goal is to promote art and culture to the young people of the county, thus, promoting cultural and creative entrepreneurship.
Based on the Santa Marta Lighthouse, one of the symbols of the county, students from 7th to 12th grade will be challenged to create an artistic and creative project. For this purpose, 40 replicas of the Santa Marta Lighthouse will be available.
The presented applications will include a descriptive memory as well as drawing and will be selected by a jury. During this stage, students will also have an entrepreneurship session which will give them the basics, in order to define the concept of the project they will develop. Afterwards, the 25 best applications will have the opportunity to create the project, in which they will be given a replica of the Santa Marta Lighthouse. The 25 projects will be displayed in an exhibition throughout April.
